DJ and producer Nayan Soukie, known as Amount, is a versatile artist with a musical journey that began in Bremen in 1980. His early influences ranged from Prince and Michael Jackson to Art of Noise and Franky goes to Hollywood. Transitioning from classical guitar to computer music at 13, he experimented with various genres including Hip hop beats, Easy listening, Experimental sounds, and House music. In the early 2000s, Amount discovered Techno, Minimal, and House music, leading to a fruitful collaboration with Fritz Windish. Together, they released their first vinyl on Eminor in 2008 and moved to Hamburg, later establishing their label URSL in Berlin.
