Bandulera, also known as Gianna Panini, is a prominent figure in Hamburg's subcultural bass scene. Born on Sardinia in 1992, she is a resident DJ and promoter who skillfully blends various genres within the new bass school, including Dubstep, Grime, D'n'B, Footwork, UK Garage, Trap, favela funk, tropical, and kuduro. Her fearless and elaborate combination of seemingly distant sounds has earned her the nickname "Sardinian Bass Madonna." Bandulera's success can be attributed to her love for playing a wide range of music styles, which brings together what belongs together in the history of bass culture.
