Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, based in Berlin, Germany, have gained international recognition since their formation in 2014. Their distinctive sound blends Anatolian folk with psychedelia, pop, and soul influences. The band comprises singer and bağlama player Derya Yıldırım, keyboardist Graham Mushnik, guitarist/flutist Antonin Voyant, and drummer Helen Wells. In 2024, they released the albums Dost 1 & 2 on CD format. Their earlier works include Yarın Yoksa (Instrumentals), an 11-track album from a previous year, and releases such as Kar Yağar (2019, vinyl) and Nem Kaldı (2017, cassette).
