
DJ Pierre
DJ Pierre, a pioneering figure in the electronic music scene, hails from Chicago, Illinois. Known for his pivotal role in acid house with Phuture in the late 1980s, he later signed to Jive Records. In New York during the early 1990s, he developed the 'wild pitch' style, influenced by parties thrown by DJs Greg Daye and Bobby Konders. As an A&R at Strictly Rhythm from 1992 to 1994, he returned to production and label ownership with DJP Records in 1999 and Afro Acid Muzik (Afro Acid Plastik) in 2007. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2008, his current base is Duluth. His brother, Reuben Jones, is known as King Maurice. His recent releases include the 'Feel The Spirit Moving EP' on Snatch! Records and 'House Music Always' on Get Physical Music, showcasing his enduring commitment to house music.
