Ipek Ipekcioglu, a Berlin-based DJ and curator, blends warm, dynamic electronic music with the melodramatic sounds of Anatolia/Mesopotamia, Turkey, Orient, and the Middle East, creating a unique and extraordinary sound. Known for her socially-critical mindset and activism, she is a member of the female: pressure network and addresses women, immigrant, queer, and gender topics in her productions. Ipek has performed at numerous international electronic and world music festivals and is recognized as one of Berlin's most important cultural contributors.
