Don Plok

Don Plok, a producer, DJ, and percussionist, blends a diverse range of rhythms, with percussive sounds and synthesizers dominating his music. With over sixteen years of experience, he creates unpredictable mixes that bridge the gap between stage and audience. Influenced by Afro/Latin music, alternative electronic genres, dub, and cumbias, Don Plok is the founder of Guateque Soundz and manager of carnivals, parties, and festivals. He also leads Dunumba Soundsystem, a collective promoting afro-Caribbean high-definition bass culture. His SoundCloud releases span various genres, including footwork, drum & bass, bass, juke, breaks, latin, electronic, cumbia, tropical, and remixes. Examples include his footwork remix of "La Cumbia del Infinito" and his remix of Juana Molina's "Quiero."
