Afrorack

PÖ, based in Kampala, Uganda, is known for their unique fusion of musical styles. Their sound incorporates elements from pop sensations such as Prince, Bollywood, and Tyler, the Creator, creating a distinctive future/intelligent pop genre that stands out in the African music scene. Kabeaushé, a key member of PÖ, crafts a soundscape that is both gentle and invigorating, often exploring themes of softness and cuteness. Their performances are a blend of music and theater, designed to immerse audiences in a hypnotic dance experience. PÖ's universe is built around the artist's voice and electronic soundscapes, transforming it into a variety of directions, ranging from hard-edged noise rap and industrial beats to West African folk passages, ambient, and post-punk music.
