HHY & THE MACUMBAS

HHY & THE MACUMBAS, based in Porto, Portugal, are a dynamic collective known for their ominous sound. Their debut album, "Throat Permission Cut," was released in 2014, followed by "Beheaded Totem" in 2018 via House of Mythology. The band's director, Jonathan Uliel Saldanha, leads a rotating group of musicians active within Porto's music scene. Their latest release, "Bom Sangue Mau," a vinyl album with nine tracks, was unveiled in 2024. Previously, they had also put out "Melting in the Heat of Chase" in 2010.

HHY & THE MACUMBAS played in Neuland at Fusion festival 2025.
