Insanlar

Insanlar, a collective of Turkish musicians, first came together in late 2010 as an in-house band for the Minipop series in Istanbul. The group includes Baris K, Cem Yıldız, Alican Tezer, Hogir, Dr.Sinan Tansal, Mini Bashekim, and others. Their music is a unique blend of techno folk, rooted in Anatolian Alewi religious poetry, with an energetic, almost punkish attitude. Insanlar gained international recognition with the release of "Kime Ne" on Honest Jon's label in 2015. Their latest release, "Demedim Mi," showcases their idiosyncratic fusion of traditional Anatolian/Mesopotamian instrumentation, electronic music, and spiritual/philosophical lyrics.
