Kælan Mikla
Kælan Mikla is a Reykjavik-based post-punk/dark wave band, formed in 2013 following a poetry slam victory at the city library. Their music, characterized by raw punk energy and unique Icelandic imagery, has been released on Artoffact Records. Notable albums include "Stjörnuljós" (2024), a fusion of electronic and rock genres with styles ranging from dream pop to darkwave, and the original score for "The Phantom Carriage" (2024), showcasing darkwave and ethereal elements. Kælan Mikla's music immerses listeners in a realm of folklore, fairytales, magic, and mysticism through cinematic synth layers, ethereal vocals, spine-chilling screams, driving bass, and programmed drums.
Kælan Mikla played in Datscha at Fusion festival 2024.
