Liquid Earth

Liquid Earth

Liquid Earth, also known as VG+ DJ and Friend, is a California-based artist renowned for his unique transatlantic house music style. Blending the rhythmic sensibilities of London and Berlin with the sun-soaked serenity of California, his productions create dance music cocktails that are crisp, melodic, and refreshing. His recent alias, Liquid Earth, has seen him push tech house with a twist, as Resident Advisor described. His analog grooves, deep basslines, and crunchy melodies emerged in 2019, earning notoriety among scenesters. Collaborations with Tornado Wallace as Dinnervisions and remixes for Youandewan have further cemented his reputation. Beyond production, Liquid Earth is a skilled DJ, seamlessly moving between classic West Coast Breaks and UK tech house. His bookings and podcasts have been highly sought after, with appearances at Dimensions Festival, Panorama Bar, and mixes for Honey Soundsystem, Butter Side Up, and Faciendo. His music, whether as a DJ or a producer, is characterized by its ability to fuse funk with deepness. His early releases on labels like Melbourne’s Voyage Recordings and Amsterdam-based Kalahari Oyster Cult showcased an almost encyclopedic knowledge of house music. As Urulu, he zig-zagged across time and space to create transatlantic music with a sugar rush of rave nostalgia. Now, under the Liquid Earth moniker, he brings that same intimate knowledge to the trippier corners of the cosmos.

Liquid Earth played in Panorama Bar at Berghain Klubnacht on 5 July 2026 and in Seebühne at Fusion festival 2025.
