Maayan Nidam

Maayan Nidam, known as THE WAVES, is a Berlin-based artist renowned for her evolving approach to music production, live performance, and DJing. Her sets, characterized by deep, stripped-back sounds, showcase an intriguing vinyl collection and creative use of obscure interludes for recontextualization. As a studio enthusiast, she explores sound and technology, generating unique sounds through a combination of guitar pedals, drum machines, modular synths, and acoustic instruments. Performing as THE WAVES, Maayan presents a live set that showcases her studio experiments on stage, offering an exciting blend of live dubbing, improvisation, and unpredictable soundscapes.
