MadMan

MadMan, stage name of Pierfrancesco Botrugno, is an acclaimed Italian rapper. Beginning his career in 2006 with the Italian freestyle competition Tecniche perfette, MadMan released his debut mixtape "Riscatto" in 2007, followed by the single "Prequel". In 2008, he published his second mixtape "R.I.P.", and in 2010, his debut album "Escape from Heart" was released for free download. Collaborating with Roman rapper Gemitaiz from 2011, they released the mixtapes "Haterproof" and "Detto, fatto" in 2012. Their collaborative work continued with the albums "Kepler" in 2014 and "Scatola Nera" in 2019. In 2013, before signing with Tanta Roba Label, MadMan released "MM Vol. 1" for free download, marking the start of a series of influential mixtapes. In 2015, "Doppelganger" was released, followed by "MM Vol.2", the second installment of the mixtape series, which included the hit single "Veleno 6" feat. Gemitaiz, certified three times Platinum. MadMan's discography includes "Back Home" in 2018 and "MM Vol. 3" in 2019, certified Platinum and Gold respectively. In June 2019, MadMan reunited with Gemitaiz to release "Veleno 7", breaking the national record for daily streams of a single track on Spotify. The song previewed the release of "Scatola Nera", another collaborative work by MadMan and Gemitaiz. After two years of pandemic, MadMan returned in November 2021 with "MM Vol. 4", featuring a sound primarily curated by PK. Darker than previous releases, it reflects a time of introspection and uncertainty. The tracklist includes the eighth chapter of the "Veleno" series feat. Gemitaiz. From September 2022, MadMan and Gemitaiz have shared the Gemitaiz & MadMan live tour 2022 across Italian sports halls, following the success of MadMan's MM4 SUMMER TOUR that summer.
