Mattia Prete (Jazz-O-Tech)

Berlin-based electronic music artist Mattia Prete is known for his versatile sound that blends techno and electronica with intricate jazz rhythms and organic instrumentation. As a DJ, Prete's sets create a transcendental journey, incorporating various genres such as techno, jazz, IDM, tribal, and broken beat. In the studio, Prete's work is characterized by sci-fi futurism and film soundtrack immersion, resulting in a unique sound that has gained international acclaim. His releases include "Life is Waiting" on Jazzotech and collaborations with classical musicians from Dnipro’s Philharmonic. Prete co-founded the 505 band project with Daniel Calvi, exploring electronic rhythms with a sensitive trip-hop sound and live electronics and organic instruments for a trippy, textured experience. As label manager of Jazzotech, Prete has contributed to the emergence of Techno Jazz, producing original music and live events featuring jazz and electronic musicians.
