Measure Divide, the solo project of music producer Fahad Ahmad, is a Toronto-based artist known for his intelligent and uncommon techno sound. With releases on labels such as Mutual Rytm, Humidex, Clergy, Local Sound Network, Starkstrom Schallplatten, Brood Audio, and Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Measure Divide has made a significant impact on the techno scene over the past decade. In 2012, he launched an events brand, FORMAT, which played a crucial role in reviving the techno scene in Toronto. He has performed at renowned venues such as Berghain, K41, Tresor, and Boiler Room, sharing the stage with artists like Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Stef Mendesidis, and Blawan. After a brief hiatus, Measure Divide returned in 2021 with releases on Clergy, signaling a new chapter for his career. His productions are characterized by unconventional arrangements, crunchy distortion, and meticulous attention to detail. In an industry often dominated by egotistic personalities, Measure Divide stands out as a humble and passionate figure in Toronto's techno scene.
