Misanthrop

Drum and Bass producer Misanthrop, also known as Michael Brauninger, hails from Heilbronn, Germany. As one-half of Neosignal and the owner of Neosignal Recordings, he has been a significant figure in the international drum-and-bass scene since 2005. His discography includes three solo albums, two collaboration albums, and successful EPs on various labels such as RAM Records and Blackout. Misanthrop's sound is characterized by its energetic, timeless quality. His releases, such as "Slacker," "Brainwashed," and "Grumpy," showcase his unique blend of neurofunk and trashworld styles. As a DJ, he is known for his precise mixing, modern sound aesthetics, and a balanced mix of deep rollers, dancefloor bangers, and experimental beats. In addition to his solo work, Misanthrop's label, Neosignal Recordings, serves as a platform for both his own visions and those of other artists. His sets have been played in renowned clubs and major festivals worldwide.
