Irena

Irena, formerly a contemporary artist, now expresses herself through electronic music and videography. Born to Yugoslavian parents in Africa, her work reflects a collage of cultures. As a resident DJ at Papaya Playa Project and music booker at Casa Jaguar in Tulum, Mexico, she has contributed significantly to the local music scene. Irena also co-owns Xeri Collective, a label focusing on music and social impact, with her husband Jimeno.

Irena played in Velvet Soup at Fusion festival 2024.
