Siory
SIORY, led by Ola Winnicka, is a collective established in 2019. Musically situated on the fringes of rap with punk energy, ambient undertones, electronic elements, street-wise, feminine, emotional prose from Winnicka, and her accordion. In 2021, choreographers and dancers Krystyna.Lama, Sylwia Marciniuk, and Wiktoria Sobota joined the group. SIORY addresses social themes, sometimes creating hymnal, critical, reactive narratives from a feminist or humanist perspective, as defined by their leader. Symbolically, SIORY represents not just women's voices but the universal need for constructing a new, egalitarian society—free from chauvinism, sexism, in the spirit of radical empathy. SIORY embodies diversity and encouragement for various states and styles. They remind us of the importance of the body and often express difficult emotions through their work with it. Their discography includes the album "Serce" released by Dym Recordings, with works on a new album titled "Magnum" in progress.
Siory played in See at Garbicz festival 2024.
