Playroots

Playroots, a Chilean artist based in Santiago, crafts immersive downtempo music that seamlessly blends ancient rhythms with electronic textures. Organic instruments like handpan, kalimba, balafon, and djembe intertwine with deep, earthy grooves. Active in the music scene since 2016, Playroots has performed across Europe, gracing stages in Lisbon, Ibiza, Paros & Antiparos, Berlin, Mallorca, Barcelona, and Cluj. His Europe Summer Tour in 2025 showcased his unique sound, as heard in "Yatiri" — a journey through Andean, African, and electronic landscapes. Playroots' diverse discography spans various genres, with releases on Soundcloud tagged as downtempo, folktronica, reggae, Hip Hop, and psycocumbia. His live sets and mixes, such as "afroreggaecumbia estail" and "VACIARTE," further demonstrate his versatility and commitment to blending different musical styles.
