Rami Abi Rafi is a DJ and producer known for his residencies on Cashmere Radio, Noods Radio, and Radio Alhara. His shows, Insijam, Love Is On My Side, and Layali Insijam, feature a blend of experimental and traditional Lebanese music, electronic music, cold wave, and folk documentation. In his productions, Abi Rafi samples and reshapes various Arabic instruments like Oud, Nay, Qanun, Tabla, and field recordings from Lebanon, creating drone and polyrhythmic pieces that explore themes of memory, time, and existential exile. As a DJ, he plays with patience and weight, translating his concerns of repetition, duration, and pressure into a different form on the dance floor.
