Rebeca Lane & Audry Funk

Rebeca Lane, born as Rebeca Eunice Vargas, hails from Guatemala City. She travels worldwide for workshops and performances. A rap artist, she released her EP "Canto" in October 2013, followed by "Poesia Venenosa," a coproduction with France and producer Juliano Huertas, in February 2015. Her third solo album, "Alma Mestiza," was launched in August 2016. In 2018, she released "Obsidiana," an album of Latin and mestizo rap. She has participated in significant festivals in her country and abroad, promoting Guatemalan rap to other countries and continents. Founder of the project SOMOS GUERRERAS, which aims to empower women through Hip Hop by creating spaces for training, coexistence, and event production. She has published poetry in various Latin American magazines and compilations. She publishes poetry on her blog “Mujeres de bolsa grande y zapatos bajos.” A sociologist with numerous publications and presentations on urban cultures and youth identities, particularly Hip Hop culture.

Rebeca Lane played in Palast der Republik at Fusion festival 2025.
