Rebeca Lane, born as Rebeca Eunice Vargas, is a rap artist known for her Latin and Mestizo sound. She released her EP "Canto" in October 2013, followed by "Poesia Venenosa" in February 2015, a coproduction with France. Her third solo album, "Alma Mestiza," was launched in August 2016. In 2018, she released "Obsidiana," an album of Latin and Mestizo rap. She has performed at significant festivals in her country and abroad, promoting Guatemalan rap to other countries and continents. Lane is also the founder of the SOMOS GUERRERAS project, which empowers women through Hip Hop by creating spaces for training, coexistence, and event production. She has published poetry in various Latin American magazines and compilations, and her poetry can be found on her blog "Mujeres de bolsa grande y zapatos bajos."
