HÊJA NETIRK & RICO DANTA

Rico Danna, the solo project of Carlos Andrés Rico, blends futuristic sounds with popular Latin American music, particularly Salsa and Cumbia. His live sets encompass a range from pop to experimental electronic sounds, maintaining a danceable quality throughout. Hêja Netirk, originating from Kurdistan and living in exile, is gaining attention for her feminist approach to Kurdish songwriting. In her current project, Kîne em? – Wer sind wir?, Hêja collaborates with Rico Danta on beats and synthesizers, merging modern Kurdish poetry with traditional singing. The unique Electro Tembûrvan Saîd sounds developed by the duo take listeners on a journey from Kurdistan to the Hamburg harbor.

Rico Danna played in Salon de Baile at Fusion festival 2025 and in Weidendom at Fusion festival 2024.
