SIREN SISTERS ft. MC TREASURE IRIE

Siren Sisters, a duo composed of CATITAH STEPPAH and SISTERS SIREN, are known for their deep roots, meditative dub, and heavy steppas selections. Their music is inspired by Rastafari and sound system culture in Jamaica and the UK, aiming to stimulate thought, touch the soul, and express resistance to the Babylonian system. Their sets often feature the live vocals of MC TREASURE IRIE, adding a unique dimension with her spoken word lyrics and live sampling. Siren Sisters have performed at various events such as DubCamp in France, HIMDub Festival in Portugal, and Fusion Festival near Berlin. They are also organizers of their own sessions at Feierwerk, Munich, and the OMEGA DUB CIRCLE since 2023. In addition to their musical endeavors, Siren Sisters have been promoting gender balance in the music scene by empowering and encouraging other women to express themselves artistically. Since 2008, over 100 female artists have performed at their sessions, including Jah Vibes Soundsystem, Sista Habesha, Roots Daughters, Sista Awa, Dasha Fyah, and Jazzmin Tutum. They also founded the women’s collective LIONESS AWAKE in 2019 as part of the non-profit organization KULTURIMPULS from Freising, Germany.
