Sonic Rain

Sonic Rain, born Boris Garland, is an electronic artist with a diverse soundscape that reflects his upbringing in London and Budapest. Trained as a drummer and pianist, he ventured into the realm of electronic music, blending groovy techno, breakbeat, and '90s rave elements in his productions. In Budapest, Sonic Rain made a mark on the Drum & Bass scene with residencies at club nights and performances at illegal raves. His live shows led to appearances on pirate radio and collaborations with promoting agencies, culminating in DJ sets on the A38 ship and at club Akvarium. Currently based in Budapest, Sonic Rain's music is gaining international recognition, supported by heavyweight DJs such as Nastia, Daria Kolosova, X-Coast, and Om Unit. His tour schedule includes performances at Sziget Festival, Balaton Sound, and a debut Boiler Room set. His releases on SoundCloud include "The Shining," "Set Them Free," and a bootleg of "Sing It Back" by Moloko, all tagged with hardgroove, groovy, summer, and club elements. Sonic Rain's DJ sets and mixes showcase his unique style, as heard in releases such as "Sonic Rain | RSO Berlin with Selected x Youtopia" and "Sonic Rain | HÖR Berlin."
