Sonido Gallo Negro

Sonido Gallo Negro

Sonido Gallo Negro is a band that blends the psychedelic cumbia sound of the 70's with various sub-genres such as chicha, Amazonian cumbia, huayno, cumbia sonidera, and Boogaloo. Their music features the distinct sounds of Farfisa, Fuzz, and Guiro. Their debut album "Cumbia Salvaje" was released in 2011 under Grabaxiones Alicia, receiving positive reviews from both national and international media. This success led to invitations to perform at the Kustendorf film and music festival in Serbia and concerts in Italy and Spain in 2012. In 2013, they performed at the Vive Latino festival, coinciding with the release of their second album. Their unique sound, described as exotic rarity, is known to create a trance-like state in listeners.
