Sound 8 Orchestra

Sound 8 Orchestra, the project of Matthias Wyder, blends easy listening, low budget lounge music, retro futuristic B-movie soundtracks, and psychedelic electro sounds. The live shows offer an intense atmosphere enhanced by super 8 projections. The group has released several records, including "Golden Memories" (2007), "Nonstop Dancing" (2011), "Grooves from another Galaxy" (2017), a vinyl single with two tracks “Casio Sound/Jonnys Theme" (2013), and a Flexidisc Postcard (2015). Recent Soundcloud releases include "WIR ARBEITEN MIT HOCHDRUCK AM SACHVERHALT", "INSPECTEUR X EST EN DANGER", and "ELECTRO CLASH" (all 2021). The project's unique sound can be likened to a fusion of Lee Perry, Add N To X, Sun Ra, and James Bond Soundtrack.
