Stavroz

Stavroz, formed in 2011, is a Belgian collective of DJs, musicians, and sound engineers known for their openness and multiculturalism. Their music blends electronic elements with organic influences, creating an ethnic vibe within the genre of deep house. The group consists of IJsbrand & Gert, Maxim & Pieter, and guitarist Max Honckelinx. Stavroz's sound is characterized by a jazzy/burlesque influence, bridging minimal and jazz-house styles. Their releases span various labels including Kindisch, Bedrock, and their own Moodfamily in Ghent. Their live sets and DJ performances showcase an ability to seamlessly combine old and new, East and West. Stavroz's recent releases on Moodfamily include "Take A Seat," "Kick Up The Dust," "Mindibu," and "Bleached Flamingo EP." Their music offers a sophisticated yet inviting sound that appeals to listeners beyond dance crowds.
