The Slow Readers Club
The Slow Readers Club, a four-piece from Manchester, specialize in indie electro doom pop. Their music has garnered attention, with notable festival appearances at Tramlines, Kendal Calling, Victorious Festival, Ramsbottom Festival, and Castlepalooza Festival in 2016. The band supported James on the 'Girl at the End of the World' tour in 2016, playing at London 02 Forum, Brixton Academy, Manchester Arena, and Liverpool Echo Arena with The Charlatans. Their sound is often compared to that of New Order and Depeche Mode, blending post-punk energy with shimmering guitar lines, electronic atmospheres, and anthemic choruses. Their 2017 release 'Lunatic' on Soundcloud showcases their unique fusion of alternative, electronic, doom pop, pop, and indie genres, featuring guitars prominently in their sound.
The Slow Readers Club played in Seebühne at Fusion festival 2026.
