As one of the founders of Voodoohop, Thomash has made significant contributions to the Brazilian underground scene, with influences ranging from slow melodic techno and krautrock to dub and ritualistic tropical rhythms. Born in Germany and living in Brazil for a decade, Thomash's work reflects the exotic multicultural Latin roots combined with the precision and minimalism of German electronic music. With a degree in artificial intelligence, Thomash creates a distinctive style characterized by oddly spaced percussion and detuned synthesizers, harmoniously mixing acoustic samples, live synthesizers, and drum sequencers.
