Thomash, a pioneer in the electronic music scene, is renowned for his role as one of the founders of Voodoohop. His multidisciplinary art collective has significantly impacted the Brazilian underground music scene, with international repercussions. Thomash's work seamlessly blends South American elements with contemporary electronica, creating a psychedelic dream-like atmosphere. His sound is characterized by slow melodic techno, krautrock, synthesizer layers, psychedelia, dub, and ritualistic tropical rhythms. Born in Germany but residing in Brazil for ten years, Thomash has absorbed the exotic multicultural Latin roots and combined them with the precision and minimalism of German electronic music. His unique style is further enhanced by his degree in artificial intelligence, which allows him to create intricate compositions featuring oddly spaced percussion and detuned synthesizers. Thomash's live performances are a hybrid between live sets and DJing, resulting in a pulsating, evolving soundscape that continually changes and adapts.
