UMOJA, a dynamic duo consisting of Sjef Rolet and Jo Bissa, are renowned for their eclectic fusion of African and Latin grooves. Their remixes of Orchestre Les Mangelepa's "Mbungo" and DiscoVumbi's "Jo Ducurama" and "Mwena Mwena" in 2025 showcase their versatile style, blending various genres seamlessly. Their DJ sets, such as the 1HR SET @ FUSION FESTIVAL 2026 and UMOJA DJ SET - SKATE CAFE AMSTERDAM, exhibit a diverse range of cumbia, dub, afro, tropical, downtempo, and more. Their extended set at LAMU (KENYA) DIAMOND BEACH in 2018 showcases their extensive repertoire, encompassing Dancehall, Kuduro, Azonto, Semba, Afrohouse, Zouk, Cavacha, Taarab, Wassoulou, Coupe Decale, Balani, Benga, Rumba, Guiriama, Bass, House, Disco, Highlife, Afrobeats, and more. UMOJA's recent releases, including "Ugali Disco" (2024), "Ghana Hima" (2014), "Vuelo Nocturno" (2013), "Palago" (2012), and "Je - Ka - Lo!" (2012), demonstrate their ability to traverse various genres, from Disco and Highlife to Afrobeat and Funk. Their unique sound continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
