un.procedure, a Birmingham/Berlin based ensemble, crafts music with intricate detail on expansive sonic landscapes. Their compositions ebb and flow, creating a dynamic interplay between darkness and light. The group consists of synth player Piera Onacko, drummer and electronic artist Nathan England-Jones, and Mercury Prize nominated alto-saxophonist Cassie Kinoshi. Their experimental-improvised-electronic soundscape ranges from doom-laden atmospherics to psychedelic textures and cosmic synth sections. Their latest releases include "un.procedure" (2022) and "Themory" (2023). Their music evokes the tense soundtracks of 70s sci-fi cinema and the avant-garde jazz movement of the late 60s, with guttural saxophone melodies adding a distinctive touch.
