Zebra Centauri

Zebra Centauri, a Dresden-based duo, emerged from years of collaborative events within the Floppy collective. Their musical journey is marked by countless jam sessions, resulting in an eclectic mix of tracks with diverse tempos and styles. Sharing a fondness for dragged beats and unusual synths, they eschew traditional dance-floor conventions, favoring their own unique approach that often resembles a slow tundra scuttle punctuated by deep resonant synth neighs. Their debut EP, Ochsenfrosch, was released in 2015 on URS records. Since then, they have continued to push boundaries with releases such as True Story (2021) and Tough Young Guys (2016), all under the URSL label. Their sound encompasses Deep House, Deep Techno, Minimal, and other electronic styles, catering to those who appreciate purposeful disregard of common practice and expertly crafted ambivalence.

Zebra Centauri played in Juicy at Garbicz festival 2026, in Mirage Outdoor at Bucht der Träumer festival 2025 and in Stroboklo at Bucht der Träumer festival 2024.
