DJ and producer Amount, one half of Soukie & Windish, emerged from Bremen in 1980 and developed a musical identity shaped by influences ranging from Prince and Michael Jackson to Franky goes to Hollywood. His journey into electronic music began at 13 with computer music, and he experimented with various styles including Hip hop beats, Easy listening, Experimental sounds, and House music. In the early 2000s, Amount, along with Fritz Windish, delved into Techno, Minimal, and House music. Their first vinyl release, on the Hamburg label Eminor, came in 2008. Collaborations and label founding followed, leading to a move to Berlin in 2011. Since 2018, Amount has been focusing on his solo project, showcasing energetic live sets that encompass Downtempo, Minimal, and Disco. His recent releases span across various labels, including Frank Music, Circles & Stones, and Lost In Luise, with a focus on Electronic genres such as House, Nu-Disco, Leftfield, Tech House, and Techno. As Amount himself declares, "The future will be disco for me, that's for sure."
