Arne Schattenberg

Arne Schattenberg emerged from the post-1980s industrial landscape of Gelsenkirchen, Germany, where he was cradled in a four-four time signature as a baby in a coal mine. Growing up amidst steel, beer, and punk rock, he reconnected with his roots in his early twenties, returning to the raw sounds and gritty venues of his youth. Initially performing live drums with anguished drumheads, he later transitioned behind the decks in 2010. After numerous local projects and countless hours spent pressing play buttons and turning knobs in smoky halls, a breath of fresh air was needed. He joined the colorful traveling circus of 3000Grad in beautiful Mecklenburg, embarking on a journey through the republic with his sets, from "Wustrow to Paris."
