Berlin-based DJ and producer Daniel Haaksman is a pioneer in global musical exchange, best known for introducing the sound of Rio de Janeiro's favelas to a global audience with his 2004 compilation "Rio Baile Funk Favela Booty Beats." As the founder of Man Recordings, he has released numerous records in tropical bass music, collaborating with artists such as Diplo, Schlachthofbronx, and Cibelle. His musical style encompasses a party-friendly mix of baile funk, house, trap, bubbling, kuduro, and more, as showcased in his albums "Sonido Lava" (2023), "With Love, From Berlin" (2019), and "Black Atlantica Edits" (2020).
