Darwin, a DJ hailing from Canada and currently residing in Berlin, Germany, is renowned for bridging the gap between UK soundsystem music and techno. As the founder of REEF, a series of 24-hour raves, Darwin connects various low-end-focused genres with breakbeat-centric styles. In 2014, Darwin established REEF, hosting events at Griessmuehle before finding a new home at Berghain, where they regularly take over the club three times a year. Darwin's label, SPE:C, showcases their passion for UK-centric sounds by focusing on emerging acts from around the world. Darwin's musical style encompasses genres such as Electronic, Latin, Reggaeton, Bass Music, Bassline, Drum n Bass, and Juke, as evidenced in their releases like Fact Mix 870 (2022) and Dekmantel Podcast 351 (2021).
