FEMININE HIFI

Feminine Hi-Fi is a collective that embodies female union, empowerment, and energy through music, with a focus on the Jamaican reggae genre from a feminine perspective. The project, established in 2023, aims to increase women's presence in the predominantly male reggae scene of São Paulo, Brazil. The musical selection spans various eras of Jamaican music, with all tracks sourced from vinyl records from the personal collections of the selectors. The songs are uniquely interpreted by female singjays over the bases or riddims of the vinyls themselves. Feminine Hi-Fi encourages and fosters knowledge, joy, and learning through its collaborative efforts, inviting women to take their first steps in the reggae scene while also providing a platform for established artists.
