Jiony

Jiony, known as Jona Jon Jion, is a prominent figure in Mexico City's electronic music scene. As co-founder of VAA label, he blends Nu-Jazz, Techno, Trip-Hop, Funk, and Latin music to create a distinctive downtempo sound. His collaborations with artists like Nicola Cruz, El Buho, Matanza, and Nicolas Jaar have marked his career. His discography includes releases such as "L'oiseau feat. Eva de Marce" (2025), "Déracinée feat. Audae" (2025), and "M'aimer" (2025). As a DJ, he showcases versatility by mixing genres like Hip-hop, Funk, Jazz, Latin, House, and Techno. His live acts are multifaceted, incorporating one or two instruments, live looping, and improvisation, either solo or with other musicians. Some of his mixes include "Revisiting Deep House" (2026), "Live Set Europe 2023," and "MIX for Boogie Around The World."
