Kenji Tanaka
Kenji Tanaka, a Berlin-based artist, is known for his improvised live techno sets. His music style is characterized by looping and trippy techno tracks that encourage self-exploration on the dance floor. He combines different loops randomly to create an element of surprise in his performances. Kenji Tanaka's instruments include drums (TR8S), bass (Modular), rumble bass (TR8S), atmospheric elements (Fieldrecorder, Drumrack, Ableton), two synthesizers (MicroMonsta 2 and Polysix VST), vocal samples (Ableton), and miscellaneous samples (TR8S). His approach to music is unique, as he prepares about 30 different loops for each instrument and uses a self-built 'Max for Live Tool' to select random loops with the push of a button. This ensures a dynamic and unpredictable performance every time.
Kenji Tanaka hat gespielt im Hammahalle beim Sisyphos Dia De Muertos am 3. November 2025, Georgie‘s Endendaans am 7. April 2025 und im Tanzwüste beim Fusion festival 2025.
