King Hannah

King Hannah, a Liverpool-based band, was formed in 2017 following a serendipitous encounter. Guitarist Craig Whittle had admired Hannah Merrick's performance years prior and envisioned a musical collaboration with her. A fortunate coincidence brought them together when Hannah was tasked with orienting Craig at his new part-time job. Seizing the opportunity, Craig proposed they form a band, an idea that Hannah welcomed. The duo expands into a quartet on stage, delivering music characterized by its dark, shuffling rhythm and contemplative toe-tapping quality. Their sound is a unique blend of Americana, Indie, and Noise, with lyrics that are painfully honest, often addressing themes such as toxic ex-boyfriends, long bedwetting, and fake fathers.
