King Josephine, an independent artist based in Berlin, is a self-taught composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and lyricist. Known for their introspective approach to music, they draw inspiration from personal experiences as a queer BPOC individual, weaving universal human themes and various genres into their work. Collaborating with drummer and co-producer Giancarlo Mura for seven years, King Josephine has been crafting a unique blend of electronic music, pop, and soul. Their debut EP, "Note to Self," showcases this fusion, featuring robust drumbeats that underscore their powerful voice, promising international stage presence and emotional resonance. Recent releases such as "Lover Is Just A Name" (2024) and "Sweet Craving" (2023) demonstrate King Josephine's ability to tackle themes like love, racism, mental health, and queerness with empathy and a touch of humoristic wisdom.
