Le Motel, a versatile music producer and film composer, hails from Brussels. His work encompasses various global influences, with forays into field recording complementing his club and festival appearances. Known for evocative collages that blend organic elements with woozy synth-work, Le Motel's discography spans footwork, hip hop, techno, and jazz. In 2015, he released 'OKA', an album that garnered attention from Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 6. More recently, Le Motel has collaborated with Belgian artists, but now returns to present his unique work through the new label Maloca, home to his latest EP 'Transiro'. The label will focus on fostering connections between diverse influences and cultures. Le Motel's releases span various electronic genres, including dubstep, UK funky, drum n bass, UK garage, ambient, new age, field recording, experimental, poetry, leftfield techno, breaks, electro, footwork, grime, and breaks. His collaborative efforts extend to AV design, with a fully modular live show in development alongside Brussels-based artist Antoine De Schuyter. Aside from his production work, Le Motel is also recognized as a formidable DJ.
