Measure Divide

Measure Divide, the solo project of music producer Fahad Ahmad, is a Toronto-based artist known for his intelligent and uncommon techno sound. With releases on labels such as Clergy, Mutual Rytm, Humidex, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Brood Audio, and Starkstrom Schallplatten, he has made a significant impact on the techno scene over the past decade. Known for his unconventional arrangements and fondness for crunch and distortion, Measure Divide's music is characterized by a playful experimentation and an unwavering attention to detail. He has performed at renowned venues such as Berghain, K41, Tresor, Boiler Room, Under Club, Stereo, and more, sharing the stage with groundbreaking artists like Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Stef Mendesidis, and Blawan. In addition to his music career, Measure Divide is also the founder of FORMAT, an events brand that has played a key role in reviving the techno scene in Toronto over the past decade. The brand celebrated its 10th anniversary with a landmark event featuring Surgeon and Oscar Mulero, cementing its reputation as a driving force in Toronto’s underground scene.
