Kulku

Kulku, the Glasgow-based record label run by Thomas Lea Clarke and Daniel Magee, offers a unique blend of percussive minimalism, folk, krautrock, post-punk, and no wave. Their music, primarily derived from acoustic sound sources, presents a captivating spectacle on stage, featuring xylophones, tambourines, timpani, wooden percussion, two drum kits, a cello, harmonicas, saxophones, and scrap metal. Eight musicians from Berlin deliver repetitive, trance-inducing phrases, creating an atmosphere that can be both serene and dream-like, as well as wild and primitive.
