Philo

DJ and producer Philo, known as Philomene Robinne, is a versatile artist with roots in Cologne and connections to the UK's music scenes. Known for campy house, raw breaks, and groovy oldschool techno, Philo initially gained recognition as a vinyl-only jungle DJ. Her sets incorporate elements from various territories, blending ravey stabs, uplifting house, and 90s warehouse nostalgia in techno. Philo has played at renowned venues such as London's Rupture, Fusion festival, Open Ground, Prstr., Pratersauna, Grelle Forelle, and Hamburg’s Golden Pudel. She also hosts the 'Take a Break' radio show on Callshop Radio and co-founded the DJ collective Precey with Marie Montexier, No:Elia & Aino DJ. Her releases span labels like Defrostatica, Hardcore Energy, Stereo45, Nice & Deadly, and Miura records, showcasing her breaks-heavy roots while incorporating jungle, footwork, or UK hardcore elements in some tracks, and uplifting house in others.
