Roman Flügel

German DJ and producer Roman Fluegel, born May 5, 1970, is known for his versatile musical style spanning ambient, IDM, house, techno, and electro. His career began in the early 1990s, with co-founding labels Ongaku Musik, Klang Elektronik, and Playhouse, which became influential in Germany. Fluegel's musical journey was sparked by a Chicago House compilation from his elder brother, followed by visits to clubs like Sven Vath’s Omen and encounters with Underground Resistance or Warp. His collaborative projects include Alter Ego and Sensorama, and he has released music under various aliases such as Soylent Green, Eight Miles High, Ro 70, Roman IV, and his real name. His sets encompass two decades of rave in one breath of techno, house, Italo-disco, and acid house. Notable remixes include works for Daft Punk, Radio Slave, Primal Scream, Ricardo Villalobos, The Human League, Spektrum, Tiefschwarz, Baby Ford, Chicks On Speed, among others.
