Roots Raid, a duo comprising Natty Bass and Bongo B, emerged in 2011. They established their label Berry's Records and an analog studio in Tours, where they have produced over a dozen maxi vinyls since 2014. Their sound encompasses various genres, including deep dub, stepper, bass music, cumbia, and neo soul, with roots in early reggae and roots dub. Their second album, "NUIT BLANCHE," released on ODGprod in 2026, features collaborations with Cookah, Likkle Ferguson, Panda Dub, Dawa Hifi, Mael Cageron, among others. The double album showcases a diverse range of themes, from cosmic explorations to modern times and transgender issues. Their Soundcloud releases in 2026 include tracks tagged as Reggae, R&B, soul, lofi, and dub, such as "Come Clother ft. Mysterious Kid," "Little Things," "Night Bird," "Change," "Le Temps," "Orchid," and collaborations with TAMILLA on "2H34" and "Alhambra" and Maxidose on "MAXIDOSE." They also release stepper, electro, and reggae tracks like "Tapage" and "ALHAMBRA."
