German duo Session Victim, comprising Hauke Freer and Matthias Reiling, are renowned for their energetic live performances and vinyl-only DJ sets. With a career spanning over a decade, they began releasing music as Session Victim in 2008, defying the popular belief that vinyl was dying and embracing digital was necessary for success. Their discography includes releases on labels such as Delusions of Grandeur and Night Time Stories, showcasing their versatile style that encompasses Downtempo, Deep House, Trip Hop, and Balearic genres. Their latest work, 'Needledrop', released in 2020 on Night Time Stories, draws inspiration from late 90's trip hop and features a collaboration with USA singer-songwriter Beth Hirsch. Session Victim's music is a testament to their passion and friendship, proving that one can go against the grain and still achieve success in the ever-evolving world of dance music.
