Christopher Schwarzwalder is a versatile artist known for his distinctive deep and restrained house sound. Originating from Frankfurt am Main in the 80s, he began making hip-hop beats before discovering techno at Offenbach's Robert Johnson club in the 90s. His move to Berlin in 2009 led him to DJ at KaterHolzig, where he found a community of like-minded musicians. Throughout his career, Schwarzwalder has collaborated extensively, forming the Feathered Sun collective in 2013 and partnering with Mira for international performances since then. Their sets are characterized by a deep, clubby, and melancholic sound. Schwarzwalder's discography includes releases on labels such as Hold Your Ground, Katermukke, Denature Records, Not On Label, Laut & Luise, and URSL. His recent works showcase a variety of styles within electronic music, ranging from ambient and downtempo to tech house and minimal.
