Bacon Chang

Bacon Chang, known professionally as Hitoshi Shinjo, is a DJ from Japan with a passion for music that began in his youth. Influenced by various genres, he developed a love for dance music and started collecting records in 2003. After gaining experience as a DJ at a friend's party in Tokyo, he began playing in smaller clubs. In 2012, Bacon Chang showcased his unique musical style through monthly parties in Tokyo clubs, and in 2013, he moved to Berlin, Germany, where he has built his career as a DJ around Europe, primarily in smaller clubs. His music is characterized by a bright and joyful sound that combines melodic elements with a nostalgic feel, focusing on disco, italo, and house genres. Bacon Chang's ability to blend diverse genres such as funk, jazzy, ambient, nudisco, italo-disco, and tech-house has earned him a reputation on the international club scene.
